Description:
KPV (Lysine–Proline–Valine) is a synthetic tripeptide derived from the C-terminal region of alpha-MSH (α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone). It has been studied in in vitro models for its role in modulating inflammation and melanocortin receptor pathways.
It is of particular interest in peptide research for its reported anti-inflammatory properties and its stability as a short-chain melanocortin analogue.
Potential Research Areas:
-
Inflammatory cytokine signalling studies
-
Melanocortin receptor subtype interaction
-
Immunomodulation assays in vitro
